This Privacy Policy explains how the NianNian Alarm app and website (the "App"), provided by Douglas (Hangzhou) Technology Co., Ltd. ("we", "us"), handle your information.

1. Summary

NianNian Alarm works entirely on your device. There is no account, and we do not run servers that receive your data. We do not collect, sell or share personal information, and the App contains no advertising or third-party analytics. Our website is a static information page and does not use tracking cookies.

2. Information stored on your device

• Alarms and settings: times, repeat days, labels, your messages, voice choices and language.
• Recordings: audio you record to use as alarm sounds.
• Generated alarm sounds: speech created from your alarm text.
• Wake-up streak: a count of the days you got up on time.

This information stays on your device. It may be included in device backups you make (for example iCloud, Google or a computer), under the terms of that backup service. Deleting an alarm or recording removes its files; deleting the App removes all of its data.

3. Permissions

• Alarms (iOS 26 and later) and exact alarms (Android): to schedule alarms that ring on time.
• Notifications: to alert you when alarms ring, on earlier iOS versions and for the wake-up check.
• Microphone: only when you choose to record your own voice. Audio is processed and saved on your device and is never uploaded.
• Motion: only for the "shake to wake" challenge. Movement data is read live on the device and is not stored.

You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings.

4. Speech

Speech is created by the voices built into your device's operating system. Your alarm text is processed on your device and is not sent to us.

5. Purchases

In-app purchases are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive your payment details. The App reads the purchase record from the store only to unlock NianNian Pro, including for family members where family sharing applies. Purchase records are not shared between iOS and Android.

6. Future optional services

NianNian Pro does not involve any data leaving your device. If we offer separately purchased services in the future that need to process data online (for example cloud or personalised voice services), they will be optional, will be explained before you use them, and will ask for your consent where required. Nothing changes for you unless you choose to use them.

7. Children

The App is suitable for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

8. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date and show the new version in the App and on our website.
